OPPRESSION OF PROSTITUTION:
Prostitution (often termed: the world's oldest profession), has been viewed as bad or malefic or evil, by many people, but around the world prostitution is generally more acceptable. My Psychology professors and Dr Ruth Westheimer all say that Sex is good, Prostitution should be legalized, and is good (not evil). So I don't intend to offend, those who have not studied Psychology in college (I am just trying to help by pointing out what I learned in college, and read by authors that my professors recommended). I myself personally? I would rather have a girlfriend (and spend all that money and more on her) than drive out to one of the legal brothels here in Nevada. Oppression of Prostitution is a form of sexual oppression, or bullying, and the oppression is psychologically unhealthy. The most oppressed area of the world is the Middle East, and they have the most Sexual Oppression, and the most social problems (war etc), and the USA is also sexually oppressed (as per my professors). (I think, that as they legalize prostitution, they should of course take care so that no one is forced into the profession (nor is forced to stay in the profession), a legal prostitute should be allowed to quit the profession, if they so desire, without legal penalty, and without having to accept work in that field in order to qualify for legal benefits such as unemployment compensation or food stamps, etc).
There exists a wall of resistance against prostitution, regardless of its legality within some areas of Nevada. It's the same kind of mentality and human nature, which brought about burning of witches 600 years ago (the crime most often accused, was "flying in the sky on a broom", for which they were tortured into confessing, then burned alive, quite common 600 years ago (I am not kidding, that's what it says in "Cows, Pigs, Wars, and Witches" by Marvin Harris (required reading for most if not all Anthropology majors), and my professors say that we have not gotten any smarter over the past 5,000 years (our ancestors were actually smarter). So its time to WAKE UP and STOP THE OPPRESSION.
Some people think they have an excuse to bully people if that person was ever involved with sex for money, or has a different gender preference, or had a baby out of wedlock, or had a baby and got a divorce, or ever took drugs, or does not go to church, or is not a Republican; well that's wrong and the educated elite knows it, and wants you to know it too. YOU CAN SEE WHAT A GUY GOES THRU TO GET SOME: He cant find it in his home City and so he flys into Las Vegas, gets in a Cab asking to be taken to the nearest Brothel, only to have the cab driver ask for (used to be) $200 up front (cab fare before the oil prices went up), because its a LONG WAY (nearly 2 hours drive) across the God Forsaken Desert, if you want to rock and roll. Trying to get to a legal Brothel (you could make a movie out of it), is like trying to sneak behind enemy lines under adverse weather conditions across rough terrain, so much resistance towards progress.
